From release 2.7, the MoSync mobile SDK makes it easy to use HTML5 to create cross-platform applications! Using the new Wormhole library you can access all services provided by the MoSync C/C++ API straight from your JavaScript code. This gives you access to native device services that are normally not available to a standard HTML5 application. In short, MoSync gives you the ease of HTML5, and the power of C++. There is a new HTML5/C++ project template, where everything is set up to run on Android and iOS, and with more platforms to go shortly.
MoSync 2.7 comes with newlib, a comprehensive implementation of the Standard C Library, and STLPort - a Standard Template Library implementation developed by SGI. This means that you can develop and reuse existing ANSI C/C++ source code easily with MoSync.

NFC is a technology which allows your application to communicate over short distances with other devices or NFC chip embedded tags. These tags can be used in various different areas ranging from small information tags to business cards sharing contact information. NFC is also used in commuter tickets and for payments, turning your phone into a wallet. NFC is one the hottest emerging technologies today which has the possibility to change the way you use your mobile phone tomorrow.
Support for NFC has been added in MoSync 2.7 and gives your application the possibility to interact with NFC tags. The MoSync NFC API supports both reading and writing information. It communicates using NDEF (NFC Data Exchange Format) messages and supports the ISO-DEP (ISO 14443-4) and MIFARE Classic/Ultralight protocols.
In MoSync 2.7 NFC is available for Android but support for Blackberry is already planned.
With the our cross-platform Widget API, you gain access to native UI components when targeting iOS and Android - the two platforms that are leading the way in user experience today. Ranging from simple buttons to advanced animations when drilling down in UI hierarchies, your applications will look and behave exactly as one would expect from an iPhone or Android app - the difference is you still only need one code base!
Starting with MoSync 2.6 Pyramid, you can use either the low-level Widget API or the Native UI C++ library! Some of the new widgets available in this release are:
