The smiling green robot is taking over the (mobile) world. With dozens of handsets in the
offing, one cannot foresee a future where they are not a dominant player. Any serious
mobile developer and in fact even the amateur ones cannot ignore the presence of
Android and the huge impact it is going to have in the application development market.
Being one step ahead of the curve, we are launching support for Android devices as of
MoSync 2.3. So now the same code base, creating apps for your Android phone as well
as your Symbian, Windows Mobile, Java....
We think you get the picture, the BIG picture.

Moblin Platform Moblin is an exciting new approach to mobile platforms, being a set of standards rather
than actual implementation, and drawing heavily on existing, proven technology. It is the first
"mobile" platform running on an intel platform. MoSync is about shaping the future and we
are proud to support this initiative to create a more open and standard mobile space for
the future.
Using MoSync for developing Moblin applications has a few advantages. For many Windows developers the Linux world can be a headache. Using MoSync you can develop for Moblin and get a ready to install (rpm or deb) package without having to mess around with all the auto tools in Linux, not to mention the hassle of writing configurations for building rpm and deb packages. You can debug your application from Eclipse and won't have to struggle with the usual Linux debugging tool. |

Integrated Debugger The MoSync debugger is a very compelling tool for doing source-level debugging.
Set breakpoints at any location to get a precise overview of the execution paths taken
by stepping into/out of functions or executing single lines of code. You can even debug
code located in header files.
At every location in your program you also get a detailed stack-trace, to see exactly where
in the application you are. For your hardcore debugging and extreme performance
optimization needs, a disassembly view is available. Use this to do single instruction
stepping and inspect register content at the MoSync IL level.
The content of variables can be seen at any time using an intuitive tree-view. While statements
are executed, the updates to variables are instantly reflected in the tree-view. The IDE also
supports adding custom expressions, a powerful tool for inspecting any data available in
memory. The debugger is tightly integrated with the IDE, making transitions between coding
and debugging a blast. Hover over any variable in the source code to see it's content at
the current time of execution.
