I downloaded MoSync 2.3 BETA and installed onto Windows XP Service Pack 3. The %PATH% environment variable on my computer has been wiped and now contains only:
D:\MoSync\bin
It looks as though this should have been appended to %PATH% - rather than replacing %PATH%.

Got the same problem exactly, same OS. Had to revert to the latest windows restore point.
Did someone get any workaround?
Problem happened with the latest MoSync downloaded from the site today.

This is a very annoying problem and we are aware of it. We are desperately looking for a work around to solve it but problem is very rare to be (reliably reproduced. However, we have put resources on it to find it out and solve it asap. However, we may need some help from you guys in near future.

MoSync 2.3 BETA is way out of date version and doesn't have all the functionality we support to date. Would you like to try out MoSync 2.4. Additionally, MoSync 2.5 Alpha is on its way to get out of the doors with some more new and cool features. You can find it on our download location early next week.

I assume that "latest MoSync downloaded" mean the latest nightly build. Wanted to make sure what you are referring to? Either the nightly build or the Featured MoSync 2.4 r2425.

I notice that my PATH variable was very long (1268 chars). So I removed some unneeded entries to shrink it a little bit.
I downloaded the mosync again today, clicked the "Download now" on the www.mosync.com. and reinstalled it.
After the I reinstall mosync it longer damaged the PATH variable.

I am afraid that I didn't completely understand what what happened after you reinstalled MoSync. Did it damaged the PATH variable
or
it no longer damages the PATH variable?

Hi Abi.
In the past it damaged the PATH variable.
After I change the length of the PATH variable and reinstalled Mosync it no longer damage it.

We are thankful to you for this tip. Really, it was of a great help and we now know what the problem is. There is a limit on the PATH for 1024 characters and this problem will be solved in the very near future. I will keep you guys posted about the progress.

This issue is fixed in MoSync 2.5. PATH can now be 8K long.
