MoSync's in-house vault of phones

I see on : http://www.mosync.com/blog/2010/10/mosync-smartphone-device-coverage
that MoSync has over 1400 devices in-house.

That's amazing!
Do you guys list all the devices online somewhere?

I know it's not possible to test on all the devices on every release, because that will take a lot of people a lot of time.
Is there a test pack that you run on devices that anyone could run for you?
Then you get have a list of all devices you have and the last time you tested with them. Then at least then the users of your platform can decide on which devices they should get to help increase the coverage of devices.

David,

Thats right! At the time when the blog was written, we had a bit over 1400 devices but that was then. The tally is taken to 1590(+5,-5) now. With the tightly scheduled releases, its a bit hard to test on all devices. So, we test on the sample devices representing a range of possible runtime, screen size, make and some other features. We do have a lot of tests which you should be able to find in our testprograms on github. We like the idea to get the feed back of test programs from outside MoSync and MoSyncer(people who use MoSync as dev tool) and we have been doing brainstorming sessions about it. Internally, we do have a system do log all the results in detail across all the devices we test and this system should be made public at some point. But, there is still a lot to do before doing that. When? no idea about that but sometime in future mate. Well, we do have an internal listing of all the devices but its not public.

Regards,
Abi Waqas

Thanks for the reply Abi, great to hear from you guys.

Someone else also asked for this list, see here: http://www.mosync.com/content/mosync-compatiblity-and-testing

Second, it would be helpful if the MoSync team could identify a selection of devices that, in their opinion, gives a broad cross section of devices that a MoSync developer may wish to target in terms of things like screen size and plaform. For example, a 'representative' high-end / mid-range / low-end Nokia phone, a 'representative' Samsung phone, a 'representative' LG phone.
