Hello Everyone

I am from the US, Rhode Island to be exact and read about MoSync on articstartup.

Specifically I was doing research on the direction of mobile app stores, and beyond.

I am very interested in the concept described in the arcticstartup article.

"MoSync’s next steps will include the launch of a complete App Store solution with full-blown client and server technology. The App Store would feature content that works across all major mobile platforms and devices, unlike most stores seen today. What’s more, MoSync plans that with their technology anyone could launch a complete cross platform white-label App Store solution within just 24 hours, and with close to zero start-up costs."

My wife and I have some internet domains we would like to share as an internet (cloud?) platform and brand with app creators, and other developers (platform side of the cloud?) , content creators, and ultimately users themselves some day. (dream)

Anyway greetings all, my day job is as an Internet Security and IT Solutions reseller. Smile

Moving on...

(Here is a great whitepaper I found from Qualcomm that seems to get some key overall trends in mobile)

http://www.qualcomm.com/common/documents/white_papers/Going_Beyond_an_Application_Store_010810.pdf

Any way, I am interested in meeting anyone who would be interested in collaborating, communicating, etc. always something to learn...

Thanks

Dear imaginer,

Thanks for the heads up on the Qualcom paper. We have similar views, even though the answer is a bit different as we think that a single code and a state-of-the-art cross compiler is the way to go when you need more advanced features running on the device. Qualcom seem to put their hopes on html5 and companions, which is fine for many applications while low-level native ARM code works wonders for the morepart.

Please feel free to take MoSync for a spin and share a bit of what you think!

best

Alex
