Full Linux compatibility

Hi.

When checking MoSync, I was actually surprised to discover it not officially supporting Linux, due to open-source nature of it.

Any idea when it would be possible to fully run MoSync on Linux? All our start-up company uses Linux as key decision, and it's hard to arrange for Windows / Apple for MoSync.

Thanks!

I don't know how firm plans are for Linux support. The IDE is Eclipse based, so porting should be fairly easy. I guess we need to test. I'll ask around.

You'll always need a Mac if you want iPhone versions. You have to do the final build in XCode. This is a restriction from Apple.

Have you tried the Windows version under WINE? I've not done it myself, but I have heard that others have found it works 100%

Hi.

We have couple of Macbooks here, but most of the dev team uses Ubuntu desktops.

We tried running MoSync on Ubuntu 10.10 under wine, and indeed compiling and building works - but emulator does not.

Any idea?
