Published by hvs, November 9, 2009 Filed in

On a gala dinner for the Telecom Industry in Sweden, Mobile Sorcery with MoSync was nominated "this years company".
Mobile Sorcery, Spotify(Music), Nanoradio(chip manufacturer), Mash up and TV 4 (televison channel) competed for this fantastic price.
Nano radio got it.
But the rest of us got a nice dinner and a lot of fun.

They also did a short film (mobil framtid) about us. (Sorry only in Swedish this time)

Stability

Stability : the roller coaster ride ahead..
It has been a few weeks since we went Open-Source. The developer team has been in over-drive ever since, fixing bugs and trying to make MoSync a more stable experience for all our users.

CTIA

This years CTIA was not as busy as last year but never the less a big event.
Most Keynotes was about the explosion in data traffic and how the fixed price model for that doesn´t work. Almost every carrier want to start charge the customers based on use instead of a fixed price. Because of limits in tech it is not possible to handle the growth in data traffic without raising prices.
Apps and web is of course the driver in this explosion. Social apps like Facebook, Youtube and Flickr are the most used apps. Mail is the most used business app.

We love feedback

We love to see how developers are using MoSync for everything from small games to very advanced Navigation apps. What makes us even more happy is that many say that it´s easy to use and the first test application can be created for a mobile phone in minutes not hours or days.

MoSync 2.0 beta is ready!!!

Published by hvs, April 1, 2009 Filed in

After a year of development we are happy to release MoSync Version 2.0 Beta. It has been a long time since we released a major upgrade of MoSync. During 2008 we have tested MoSync 2.0 in several large-scale mobile application projects, and we can say that MoSync is very stable and robust. MoSync 2.0 outputs to Symbian, Java and Windows Mobile (more to come).
This version of MoSync is loaded with many new features with an improved Eclipse-based IDE for MoSync development that we hope that you like.
